Social Security Benefits Payments Schedule : Last dates of June 2024

The U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) has released its benefit payment schedule for the year 2024, offering beneficiaries key information about the dates when they will receive their payments.

This calendar is strictly maintained during the year, as it is money that millions of beneficiaries depend on for their daily livelihood. There is still a pending payment for June 2024, and we can already start reviewing the dates for the month of July.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Payments

For those receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), payments are scheduled for the first of each month, unless it falls on a weekend or holiday, in which case the payment is made the previous business day.

Social Security and SSI Beneficiaries Before May 1997
If a beneficiary began receiving both Social Security and SSI before May 1997, their Social Security payments are made on the third day of each month, while SSI payments are issued on the first day of the month.

Dates of Birth and Payments

Payment dates are organized based on the beneficiary’s date of birth:

• Second Wednesday of the month: Payments for those born between 1 and 10.
  Third Wednesday of the month: Payments for those born between the 11th and the 20th.
  Fourth Wednesday of the month: Payments for those born between the 21st and the 31st.

If a beneficiary does not receive his payment on the expected date, it is recommended to wait an additional three working days before contacting Social Security. This allows time for payments to be processed and reach their recipients.

June 2024 Last Payments to Roll Out

In the month of June, the payment dates are clearly outlined on the calendar. Beneficiaries should take note of the following dates:

• Wednesday, June 12th: Payments for those born between 1st and 10th.
• Tuesday, June 18th*: Payments for those born between the 11th and the 20th.
• Wednesday, June 26: Payments for those born between the 21st and the 31st.

*The June 18th payment should have been due on Wednesday the 19th, but it was brought forward because the 19th commemorates Emancipation Day (known as Juneteenth), which is a holiday. The SSA does not pay benefits on weekends or holidays.

Payment Dates in July 2024

In July 2024, Social Security benefit payments will be made on the following dates:

• Wednesday, July 10th: This date is intended for beneficiaries whose birthdays fall between the 1st and the 10th of any month. These beneficiaries will receive their payments on the second Wednesday of the month.
• Wednesday, July 17th: Beneficiaries who were born between the 11th and the 20th will receive their payments on this date. It is the third Wednesday of the month and corresponds to the payments for those with dates of birth in the mentioned range.
• Wednesday, July 24th: This date is reserved for beneficiaries who were born between the 21st and the 31st. These payments are made on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
